Its finally here! The 1st UECM Basketball League. Its been under plan for sometime now. UECM formed its first formal Basketball team way back during the 1st FCCF Basketball tournament. It was a perfect record year, we went 0-9! Over the years Team UECM made it up to the placing. Last year UECM together with Gerizim Evangelical Church formed a team to join the PCIBL.This year the sports committee headed by Kelvin Manumbas, Wyatt Tan and Deacon Ian Benson Tan set up the league with the purpose of using sports as a tool for evangelism and building up fellowship. Initially a four team league was planned but overwhelming registrants join the league made it to five teams. Five team captains and five assistants were assigned and a closed door draft day was set to pick the teams.
UECMBL will officially opens this Sunday March 22, 2009 1 PM at the UECM Basketball Gymnasium. Come and watch the opening games. Admission is free!
